Foundation for Economic Education: Freedom 101 Seminar
More details will be coming soon, but FEE’s Freedom 101 Seminar is an opportunity for high school students to spend a week over the summer learning about economics and the principles that underly a free society.
Foundation for Teaching Economics: Economics for Leaders
These one-week, residential programs provide high school students between their junior and senior years with an exceptional opportunity to learn important leadership skills. Through interactive and engaging lesson plans, participants attain an understanding of economic reasoning principles and how to employ these concepts for successful and effective leadership. Additionally, participants achieve a heightened awareness of the impact their decisions have on others and the responsibility that awareness imposes. Participants learn this valuable information through interactive simulations.

Bill of Rights Institute: Being an American Essay Contest
Over 30,000 students around the country this fall answered the question, “What civic value do you believe is most essential to being an American?” We greatly appreciate the efforts of educators, parents, and students to participate in the contest. Submissions for this year’s contest are no longer being accepted.

Foundation for Individual Rights in Education: “Freedom in Academia” Essay Contest
“The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) is pleased to announce its first annual “Freedom in Academia” essay contest. High school seniors from across the U.S. are invited to write an in-depth essay explaining why free speech and First Amendment rights are crucial to higher education and how abuses of these rights harm education.”
