Bio: Noah Mickel is an anarcho-capitalist studying Economics and the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He got his start learning about liberty after reading Atlas Shrugged during his junior year of high school. After a long stretch of being raised as a conservative, he shifted towards objectivism for a bit, then became more of a constitutional conservative, then a libertarian, and now he's gone all the way to becoming an an-cap. Economics is his favorite area of study, as it allows him to talk about a lot of other issues through the lens of economics. Outside of the liberty movement, he enjoys music of all genres, watching broadway/movie musicals, and playing tabletop games.
Favorite Figures in Liberty: Robert Murphy, Dave Rubin, Ayn Rand, Ludwig Von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Austin Petersen
On Students For Liberty: "Students for Liberty is an organization with a goal I find necessary in the modern political discourse: unifying many groups for a common purpose for liberty. Whether you're a bleeding heart libertarian, a Ron Paul conservative, or anything in between, SFL works to say "If you're promoting liberty, whether you agree with us on everything or not, join us in our fight to bring liberty to the world." Also, everyone is super nice."
Bio: Zachary is currently pursuing a BA in economics at the University of Michigan, to be obtained in 2018. His research interests include macroeconomics, behavioral economics, Austrian economics, public choice, polycentric law, and philosophy of economics. He has been involved in SFL since joining in 2016 as a CC. He blogs regularly for Notes on Liberty, and plans on pursuing a career in academia.
Favorite Figures in Liberty: JS Mill, FA Hayek, Don Lavoie
On Students For Liberty: "SFL is to be commended not only for effectively using activism to spread liberty, but also for intellectual rigor in advancing libertarian thought."
